A Pro Plan gives you access to millions of songs across the popular (and niche!) music landscape.

Premium stations are marked with a small lock icon.
IMPORTANT |
| OptiSound Premium Music is only available in the United States and Canada as of April 2026. This uses the country of the screen's OptiSound Location address, not the billing address. See Setting Up Locations and Zones below. |
Setting Up an OptiSound Add-On
To subscribe to OptiSound, go to the Subscription Plan option in the main menu. Scroll down until you see OptiSound Music.
You'll have the option to begin a 14-Day Free Trial. This will default to the Standard plan. Your current plan is shown next to the add-on name.
| NOTE |
| Starting a trial creates a Default Location and a Default Zone with no address. If upgrading to Pro, you must add an address to your Location. |
To manage where your music plays, click Manage Zones. This opens the Locations page in the OptiSound tab.
Setting Up Locations and Zones
OptiSound organizes your music by Locations and Zones. A Location is your business venue, such as a store or a restaurant. A Zone is an area inside it that plays its own music, such as the Main Floor or the Patio. Each screen that plays music is paired to a Zone, and the add-on is licensed per Zone.
IMPORTANT |
| In order for Premium stations to be played on a Pro plan, you must set a Location. |
To get started, go to the OptiSound tab.
Then click Locations in the OptiSound menu.
Add a New Location
Click New Location. Give your location a Location name, then start typing your business address in Address (optional) and select it from the list. You can also click Show address details to fill in the address fields yourself. Click Add Location when you're done.
IMPORTANT |
| Once an address is added to a Location, it cannot be changed. Double-check it before you save. |
Set the Address of an Existing Location
If your Location doesn't have an address yet, such as the Default Location created with your trial, you can add one at any time.
Find your Location and click the ⋮ menu next to Add Zone.
Click Edit Location.
Start typing your business address in Address (optional) and select it from the list.
The first time you open Stations, OptiSound will also ask Where Is Your Business Located? Choose your Company Location and click Confirm Location so OptiSound can show you station options for your region.
Add a Zone
To add a Zone, click Add Zone on your Location. Give it a Zone Name, such as Patio or Main Bar. Check Connect your device now? if you'd like to pair a screen right away, then click Add Zone.
Browse and Assign Music Stations
To browse and assign stations, go to the Screens tab.
Select the screen where you would like to assign music and click Edit. Under Background Music, click Activate.
Choose the Zone this screen should play, then click Pair screen. If you haven't set up a Zone yet, choose New zone here, or click Add a location in OptiSound.
Next, click Pick station (or Change) to browse through the list of available stations. Select the station that best fits your business environment. Premium music stations are only available on a Pro plan, and need an address on the screen's OptiSound Location.
Ensure Priority Audio is set to Background Music in the screen settings. Setting the audio priority ensures your background music keeps playing, even when showing muted videos or other content.
Finish assigning any additional content to the screen as needed. Then click Save — the selected music station will begin playing immediately.
Connect Your Device to Your Audio System
To play the music through your business’s sound system you can either:
- Use a wired audio connection (e.g., 3.5mm aux, RCA, or HDMI audio out), or
- Pair the device via Bluetooth to your speaker setup.
Double-check your device’s audio output settings to make sure it matches your connection type.
That’s all!
