With the Taggbox Display app, it's possible to show a Taggbox social wall on your screens. Taggbox collects content from 15+ social platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, and lets you customize and moderate your wall. It also supports video, which some of our built-in social apps don't.
Let's get started.
What You'll Need
- An OptiSigns account - Standard Plan or higher
- A Taggbox account with a social wall set up. Taggbox has a free plan for a single feed
- An OptiSigns-enabled device
- A screen, set up and paired with OptiSigns (see our Getting Started guide)
Getting Your Taggbox Display Link
Sign in to Taggbox and open your wall. Go to its display options and copy the wall's Display Link.
Creating a Taggbox Display App
From the OptiSigns portal, go to Files/Assets and select Apps.
Search for Taggbox and select the Taggbox Display app.
The Taggbox Display app settings will open.
Fill them in:
- Name - The name of your Taggbox Display asset. This is for organizational purposes within OptiSigns only and will not display on your screens.
- URL - Paste your Taggbox Display Link here. The link should start with https://display.socialwalls.com/ or https://app.taggbox.com/.
- Update Interval - How often, in seconds, the app checks your wall for changes. The default is 600 (10 minutes). Enter 0 to check only when the app first loads.
Now hit Save.
You'll have created a Taggbox Display app, and it will appear in your Files/Assets.
Deploying a Taggbox Display App
To push your Taggbox Display app to a screen, go to the Screens tab, then click Edit next to the screen you want to display it on.
The Edit Screen pop-up will appear. Select Asset under Content Type, then hit Change next to Selected Asset.
The Select Asset window will open. Search for your Taggbox Display app, click it, then hit Select.
Back in Edit Screen, hit Save. Your Taggbox wall will now display on your screen.
Your Taggbox Display app can also be displayed in a Playlist or Schedule, or as one zone of a Split Screen.
