In this article, we'll install the OptiSigns app on a Samsung Tizen Smart TV and pair it with your OptiSigns account.

The OptiSigns app is available in the Samsung Smart TV app store, so you can run your signage straight from a Samsung Tizen TV without any extra hardware.

| For most signage, we recommend a dedicated player such as the OptiSigns Android Player instead. Samsung Tizen TVs don't let apps start automatically, so someone has to open OptiSigns each time the TV turns on. They also have very little free storage, usually only a few hundred MB. OptiSigns saves your content on the TV so it keeps playing if the network drops, but with that little space, only a small playlist fits. A Tizen TV works well for a small playlist of a few images, videos or apps when someone can open the app each day. |
Before You Start
Connect the TV to the internet, and update the TV's software. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update.
Install the OptiSigns App
Press the Home button on the remote and open the app store (Apps, or Smart Hub on older models).
Search for OptiSigns.
Select the OptiSigns app, then select Install. Installing can take a few minutes, depending on your internet connection.
When it finishes, select Open. You can also open OptiSigns later from Apps on the home screen.
The app shows a pairing code. Keep it on screen; you'll need it to pair.

| OptiSigns isn't available for every Samsung model or region. If you're in the US and can't find OptiSigns in the app store, your TV model most likely isn't supported. Consider a dedicated player such as the OptiStick Player. |
Pair the TV with Your Account
On a computer or phone, go to app.optisigns.com and log in. If you don't have an account yet, select Create Account. You can also log in with Google, Microsoft or Facebook.
On the Screens page, select Add Screen.
Enter the pairing code shown on your TV in Pair code, then select Pair.
Note: Codes are case-sensitive, and the portal enters them in capitals. If the code on your TV has lowercase letters, select Use lowercase pairing code and type it exactly as shown.
Open OptiSigns Each Day
Because Tizen TVs don't start apps automatically, open OptiSigns from Apps each time the TV turns on. Once it's open, it plays whatever you've assigned to the screen in the portal.
Use the OptiSigns Menu
Press OK on the remote to open the OptiSigns menu. Use the arrow buttons to move through it, and press Back to close it.
The menu includes:
- Refresh: reload the content assigned to the screen.
- Orientation: show the current orientation.
- Mute: turn the sound off or on.
- Advanced Options: more settings, including Video Player, Show Downloading Status and Show Offline Indicator.
- TroubleShooting and About: details that help our support team if something isn't working.
- Unpair and Exit.
