Share your laptop, phone or tablet to any screen running OptiSigns with the AeriCast Wireless Presentation app. There are no cables to connect: enter the code shown on the screen and start presenting.
What You'll Need
- A screen running OptiSigns with the AeriCast Wireless Presentation app. To set it up, see How to Use AeriCast Add-on for Wireless Presentation and Video Conferencing.
- To present from a laptop: Chrome or Firefox
- To present from a phone or tablet: the free AeriCast Presenter app
Find the Presenter Code
Every screen running the AeriCast app shows a 4-character presenter code. It appears in the middle of the screen:
Or in the strip along the bottom of the screen, while other content plays:
Present from a Laptop
On your laptop, go to present.aericast.com. Chrome or Firefox give the best experience.
Enter the presenter code and click Continue.
You're now connected to the room. Click Present to start sharing.
Choose what to share:
- Entire Screen - Your whole screen. Select the screen, then click Share.
- Window - One application.
- Chrome Tab - One tab in your browser.
To stop presenting, click Stop on the AeriCast page, or Stop sharing in the browser's sharing bar.
Presenting with Colleagues
To let a colleague present in the same room, share the presenter code with them.
When more than one person joins, AeriCast lists the presenters. When it's your turn, stop the current presenter and share your screen.
Present from a Phone or Tablet
Download the AeriCast Presenter app:
- iPhone and iPad: App Store
- Android: Google Play
Open the AeriCast Presenter app, enter the presenter code shown on your screen, and tap Continue.
Tap the button above Tap to present.
Tap Start Broadcast. Your phone or tablet now shows on the screen.
When you're done, tap the red recording indicator in the top corner of your phone, then tap Stop.
Troubleshooting
Here are some of the common issues people have with using Aericast on OptiSigns, and their solutions.
There's no presenter code on the screen
The AeriCast Wireless Presentation app isn't playing on that screen. Assign it to the screen, or add it to the screen's playlist. See How to Use AeriCast Add-on for Wireless Presentation and Video Conferencing.
The Share dialog doesn't appear in my browser
Use Chrome or Firefox, and allow present.aericast.com to share your screen if the browser asks.
