Playing background music/radio with OptiSigns

With OptiSigns you can add background music to your Playlist. You can play:

  • MP3 that you uploads
  • or URL of internet radio station (we recommend
  • or URL of youtube videos

Let's jump in and get started:

First go to your Playlist's Options:


Then click "Advanced":


You can upload your own MP3 file or use an URL for internet streaming radio.

For example, you can use a very popular internet streaming radio service that has pretty much any radio stations.

Find your Radio station such as: Then you can click the share button and click the "Copy URL" button.

(Note: Background music only works with links from free pandora accounts. If you have a premium account be sure to log out before browsing for your radio station.)

Then paste the URL in OptiSigns like below:


Now you can assign the playlist to your screens, and it will play the playlist with background music.

What if I have videos or other contents with sounds & background music in the playlist?

In this case, it will create conflict, the sounds of the content in the playlist will be played, but background music may be stopped. You can change the Sound Priority setting on the OptiSigns app of your device. You can open the side menu on the OptiSigns app of your device and go to Sound Priority. You can change it to Background Audio.

What if I have multiple Playlist with background music in SplitScreen zones?

In this case, you can prioritize which zone background music will be played.
Please note that, if other zones have content with sounds, it may create conflict and stop background music from playing.
